2020 Ford Explorer Hybrid Features
Unexpected Hybrid Performance
The Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid delivers more power than one might imagine from a Hybrid vehicle. For example, its Hybrid powertrain maximizes a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and extends it's EPA-estimated range to more than 500 miles before needing a fill-up. The model also saves you money at the pump with its impressive 29 MPG on the highway. The new RWD architecture comes standard on the Limited Hybrid trim, giving a better on- and off-road capability as well as increased towing capability.
When equipped with the available intelligent 4WD, the model enhances both the powertrain and braking systems to give the best traction in diverse driving conditions. The Limited Hybrid comes equipped with other performance features such as trailer sway control, which automatically brakes and adjusts power to the engine for better control of the tow loads.
Advanced Hybrid technology
The Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid's technology works overtime to support the vehicle's tasks ranging from an everyday commute to fully-loaded trips to the lake or camping. In order to keep the Limited Hybrid prepared for different situations, the model comes equipped with the Terrain Management System™. At the turn of a dial, this system adapts the Limited Hybrid to any one of seven driving modes.
The modes include normal, trail, deep snow/sand, slippery, sport, tow/haul, and the new eco-mode, which maximizes fuel efficiency. Each of the modes come with a special 3D animated graphic display on the 12.3-inch digital cluster on the dashboard to get a better understanding of the subtle changes the vehicle makes in each mode.
Expansive Interior
The inside of the 2020 Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid offers seating for six evenly spaced throughout the cabin with two seats in every row. With both the second- and third-row seats folded down, the cabin keeps about 87.8 cubic feet of cargo space for maximum packing.
Standard on the Limited and ST trims, the front seats come with heated and ventilated leather-trimmed seats for year-round comfort. Standard heated second-row seats are also exclusive to the Limited and ST trims. The third-row seats contain the PowerFold® feature which automatically folds the seats down for more storage at the press of a button.
